Geography of the town of Amandola: Amandola rests on three hills of the upper Tenna valley which take their names from the castles that were present there since before its birth: Agello, Leone and Marrubbione. The highest and most inhabited is Castel Leone and reaches a height of about 550 m a.s.l.

The city is located on the right of the Bora stream (or Callugo) and on the left of the Tenna river, which separates it from the industrial area. It is located about 10 km from the summit of Mount Castelmanardo (1917 m a.s.l.), belonging to the chain of the Sibillini Mountains, which closes its territory to the west. To the east opens the Tenna valley, where the municipality of Amandola reaches the shores of Lake San Ruffino; to the north and south it shows a territory characterized by high and wooded hills and valleys crossed by numerous streams.

Its territory is the third largest in the province of Fermo after Fermo itself and the nearby town of Montefortino; in it there are 48 hamlets. (wikipedia).
