Notes on the design: the whole structure has been restored using existing antique materials of the initial structure and other antique materials coming from other historical buildings. Each piece of material: frames, walls, floors, domes, wooden beams, radiators, and furnishings, have been handpicked and highly selected. For example, the columns of
the porch near the chapel, were the lemonary once was, have been built with the bricks that once were part of Villa Granai. The belltower that fell as a consequence of 1997 earthquake was rebuilt with the original bricks. (there are proofs of it).
